I talk about my childhood a lot in my comedy and people seem to relate to it. Someone suggested that I develop a solo show around that material, which I did.

I developed MY PONY’S IN THE GARAGE in a solo workshop run by Kirsten Ames.  There I worked with amazing performers and directors and really grew as an artist.  My show debuted at the NY Fringe Festival to some very kind reviews (see below).

Since then I’ve performed it as a whole or in part at various venues including Collective Unconscious (NYC), UCB East (NYC), The Tank Theatre (NYC) and the Mayo Performing Arts Center (Morristown, NJ).  If you’re a college or theater interested in booking MY PONY’S IN THE GARAGE, please get in touch with me using the form below.  I’d love to hear from you.

echoclearMerits genuine attention…The actress’ manner, start to finish, is intimate, candid and direct…Eileen Kelly’s memoir is as simple as it is direct, and as earnest as it is genuine…Worthy of a life beyond the Fringe.”

The Irish Echo

logo“Witty, sarcastic and honest…My Pony’s in the Garage is a well packaged one-hour show…The humor of this one-woman show reminded me of a middle-class version of the film The Royal Tenenbaums or the television show Arrested Development.”

3 1/2 out of 4 stars “One of the best-written and best-performed shows in the festival. If you ever get a chance to see Eileen Kelly on stage, grab it. She’s a thoroughly class act.”

Unknown-1“With just the right mix of humor and heart, it’s an hour well spent…A joyful celebration of family, no matter how crazy that family may be.”

“I was laughing out loud…What an amazing life story…I see this definitely moving on after the Fringe festival is over. Her heartfelt and funny portrayal of her family is something everyone can relate to and something that I truly hope she has the opportunity to share with many others.”
