This is the businessy business where I have to tell you some of my accomplishments. But it would be awkward to stand here and say things like, “I’m in two joke books.” So this next part will be written by a friend of mine. You don’t know him. He’ll be writing in bold, that’s how you’ll know it’s him.
Hi, I’m Eileen’s friend. I just thought you might be interested to know that Eileen was a semi-finalist in Nick at Nite’s “Search for the Funniest Mom in America,” was one of Toyota Comedy festival’s “New York’s Funniest Women” and has been featured as a comic on NBC’s “Today” show and “Live at Five.” She’s been in several commercials and promos and has been a guest on Sirius and Playboy radio.
Her solo show, MY PONY’S IN THE GARAGE, premiered at the NY Fringe Festival where reviewers called it, “One of the best-written and best-performed shows in the festival” and likened it to “a middle-class version of the film `The Royal Tenenbaums’ and the television show ‘Arrested Development.’”
Eileen’s jokes have been featured alongside comedy legends Ray Romano, Ellen Degeneres and Jerry Seinfeld in the books She’s So Funny – 1,001 Jokes from the Best Female Comics and Squeaky Clean Comedy.
Her writing has appeared on CNN.com, TheFrisky.com and appears weekly on LifetimeMoms.com.
The State of New York Office of Children & Family Services is currently using one of Eileen’s articles in their training manual for foster parents.
